Jon, a qualified FCCA, launched the consultancy in 2015 and has already worked with clients on a variety of projects.

Founder of MOJO Executive Services, Jon Oliver, is a seasoned professional whose financial knowledge and experience, combined with his approach to business and people skills, has seen him successfully transform the financial status of a wide range of businesses and organisations of all sizes, both public and private sector. Jon has worked in finance since he began his professional career as a trainee accountant in 1991, before qualifying as AAT three years later and progressing into work preparing accounts for limited company clients, helping implement both computerised and manual accounting systems for clients who had little or no systems in place. Following his ACCA qualification in 1998, Jon worked in-house for international fashion group Redcats, where one of his roles was UK management accountant for La Redoute. Three years on he moved to international car park operator, Q Park, where he worked in various roles, finishing in 2005 as healthcare and education divisional business manager. This role saw Jon make excellent use of his commercial and financial skills, assisting the UK Board in making key strategic decisions, identifying several commercial opportunities which included becoming business manager of the Healthcare & Education division at a difficult time. This saw the retention of 4 key contracts, whilst managing 12 national contracts with 150 operational staff, which culminated in doubling the divisions contribution to group overheads in his first 15 months.

CO2Sense CIC

Acting at varying times as chief finance officer, company secretary, non-executive director and business associate, Jon was influential in leading the organisation through a difficult 18 month cultural restructure converting it from a loss making public sector to a profitable private sector organisation.

Lend Lease

Working as operational contracts manager on a £350m Building Schools for the Future bid in Birmingham, delivering and overseeing all Local Education Partnership financial and management accounting.

BAE Systems Plc

A finance bid manager on a multi-billion pound Typhoon military aircraft export campaign, Jon was a pivotal member of the campaign management team, responsible for all finance related activities within the £2bn bid.

NTL

Responsible for the financial reporting to this £200m group – £120 CAPEX and £80m OPEX. Assisting Accenture with finding £1 billion of out of scope synergy savings when merging with Telewest to form Virgin Media.

Town Centre Securities Plc

As group financial controller, principally responsible for the preparation of the Annual Report and accounts and all other finance team outputs.

thebigword Holdings Ltd

In the role of finance director in this £30m+ global language services company, sitting on the board and with overall responsibility of finance teams in Leeds, New York and Beijing. His work included restructuring of the global finance team to fully support a £40-50m global company.

Marshall Wooldridge Limited

Interim Finance Director for a UK top 50 general insurance broker and financial services team. Management of all financial activities and instrumental in all strategic commercial decision making. Attendance of all Board meetings and offers key guidance and support to the managing directors of each division to ensure they deliver successful results.

Aspire Community Benefits Society

Interim Finance Director for a charity that delivers the caring needs for 1,000 adults in Leeds who have learning difficulties. Aspire is a recent £20m spin out from Leeds City Council in August 2015. Pivotal role in supporting the Chief Executive and the Operations Director in ensuring the spin out is successful and advising them on how to run a private sector business. Close working with a diverse Board and ensuring all decisions are made with full accurate information.
